Planting and care

Choose a location in full sun to partial shade, sheltered from harsh winds, and plant the bulbs in autumn, before any frost. Place the bulb in the ground with the tip facing up, about two times the size of the bulb apart. Water thoroughly after planting, but avoid waterlogging. As soon as the first shoots appear in spring, water consistently during prolonged dry periods. In planters, make sure that the soil does not dry out completely. After flowering, the faded flowers can be removed, while the foliage should remain on the plant until it is completely yellowed.
