Parsley

Parsley originates from the Mediterranean region and its Latin name means "growing on stone". Today, it is one of the most popular herbs. The herb is used in culinary and cosmetic applications. This is due to the excellent smell and taste of the leaves and the essential oils, which improve digestion and whet the appetite. Parsley, with its rich composition and healing properties, is widely used as a medicinal herb in folk medicine.

These green and fragrant herbs are a favourite with gardeners and kitchen masters. Parsley is a biennial herb commonly used for seasoning and garnishing various dishes. Leafy parsley gives off a pleasant aroma and a delicate flavour and is often eaten alongside salads, soups, fish and meat dishes.

These herbs are sown in spring. Parsley seeds are moistened before sowing in order to obtain a quicker harvest. Although parsley seeds are very small, they are not afraid of frost. Parsley is also valued for its nutritional value and its richness in vitamins. They are rich in protein and carbohydrates.
