German grass seed mix EG SHADE (1KG) Lawn grass seed mix suitable for sowing in the shade. The reed fescue that forms the base of the mix is tolerant of a wide range of soil and climate conditions. Stumpy red fescue forms a fine-textured and very dense turf. The lawn is resistant to trampling and tolerates winter conditions well. The recommended cutting height is 40-80 mm. Recommended sowing rate - 2.5-3kg/a Mixture composition: Installing a new lawn: Before sowing, the soil must be properly prepared by destroying weeds, loosening the soil and lightly rolling it. The seeds are placed at a depth of 0,5-2,0 cm (depending on the coarseness of the seeds). Sow on a windless day and lightly roll the evenly scattered seeds. Lawn mowing: mow evenly and uniformly.
The grass should not lose more than 60-70% of its leaf surface.
Household lawns are mowed every two weeks, parks once a month, flowering meadows several times a season, and landscape lawns once a season.
: newly installed lawns are fertilised after the second mowing. Lawn fertilisation is divided into main and supplementary fertilisation. The main fertilisation takes place in early spring (late March/early April) and includes phosphorus, potassium and a small amount of nitrogen. Additional ones take place during the growing season (April-August) with nitrogen-based fertilisers. After the end of the growing season, in November, it is advisable to apply potassium magnesium (KMg) to the lawn for a better overwintering and an earlier green-up in the spring. Watering the lawn: to ensure that the seeds germinate well, the soil of the newly sown lawn must be kept consistently moist. Water frequently, but sparingly. The recommended water consumption per m² is about 20l. Once the lawn is established, it should be watered every 8-11 days, depending on rainfall and soil texture, and twice a week in dry weather. The lawn is considered to be properly watered when the soil is at least 10 cm wet. |
