A variety of bush pumpkin valued for its large, excellent quality seeds and high growth vigour. The pumpkin is medium-sized, spherical, orange-green in colour, with a thin skin and many pumpkin seeds inside. The fruit weighs between 3 and 8 kg and remains ripe until December. The seeds are very tasty, rich in vitamins and minerals, and are pressed into oil. The flesh can be eaten fresh, cooked, stewed and is also suitable for livestock feed.

Yields up to 1500 kg of hulled seed per ha.


Pumpkins grow best on wind-protected, sandy loam or light loam soil. They are vigorous, like fertile soil, warmth and humidity. For an earlier harvest, pumpkins are planted with pot-grown seedlings. To increase the size of the pumpkins, some of the shoots are removed, leaving 2-3. Sowing rate: 1 acre - 20 g
