Ornamental conifers such as spruce, fir, mountain pine and pine are planted or transplanted in spring when the buds start to swell.
It is recommended to add coniferous forest soil to the conifer planting hole, as it contains fungi that form a symbiosis with the conifer roots. This helps the plants to grow and establish faster. It is also recommended to add a special conifer fertiliser to the hole to feed these plants, which contains a balance of all the necessary substances. Do not over-fertilise conifers, as they will weaken.
