Crocus 'Ruby Giant' (Crocus tommasinianus)

Height: 7–10 cm
Flowering period: March–April
Planting period: September–October

Early spring crocus with abundant purple flowers and yellow stamens. Blooms very early, often even during snowfall. Grows well in sunny or partially shaded areas, in well-drained, moderately moist soil. Excellent for lawns, rock gardens, path edges, flower beds and naturalization – over the years it forms dense, colorful carpets.

Very resistant to cold, does not require special care, suitable for growing in pots.

Origin: Southern Europe (Balkan region).
