Asparagus is a perennial plant. Their young stems-shoots are used for food. Low-calorie, mild-tasting shoots are suitable for canning, cooking and frying. Asparagus likes light soil, demanding moisture throughout the growing season. Before sowing, soak the asparagus seeds for 3-4 days and germinate at 23-25 C.
