Ornamental garlic is planted either in autumn from mid-September to the end of October, or in April, especially for dwarf garlic. Garlic is hardy. They get stronger over the summer and can safely overwinter in the ground. Planting in full sun, partial shade and water-permeable soil is advisable. If you want ornamental garlic to multiply, cut back the developing inflorescences and do not pick the leaves until they have wilted. They look best when planted in groups of at least 5-7 plants.

They overwinter very well in the soil. They are very hardy. However, when preparing garlic for the winter period, the soil needs to be mulched.
