TULIPS BLUE DIAMOND Most tulips of this type are dwarf tulips. These tulips have strong, short stems. The tulips of this class are covered in snow - in spied snowless winters, these tulips can freeze severely, so it is recommended to cover this type of tulips with peat, sawdust, fir branches for the winter. Tulips are planted in mid-September to early October, depending on the autumn weather. The most suitable soil temperature is 7-10 C, the soil must be sufficiently moist. Planting depth and density depends on the size of the tulip bulb. The general rule is that tulips are planted at a depth of three bulb heights, slightly shallower in heavy soils, deeper in light ones. Tulip bulbs are dug up every year. Only the small ones (if not damaged by disease) can be dug every other year. The best time to dig up tulips is when the lower leaf is not completely dry (it will be a different time for different tulips). The height of these tulips is 30 cm, the planting depth is 15 cm. Tulip bulbs are planted 10 cm apart. Planting location: Spring and summer blooming flowers grow best in a sunny location. Soil type: suitable for all types of soils that are not too wet. Hummus can be added if needed. Care: touch up immediately after planting and keep the soil moist during growth. Bulbous flowers blooming in spring should be protected from severe frosts under a layer of peat, and those blooming in summer should be kept at a temperature not lower than 0°C. Support: to support tall bulbous flowers during growth. |
